Instead of having an open and honest election, the Tallahassee Good Old Boys handpicked Truenow to run for this seat to protect the status quo, bringing millions of dollars in special interest money to protect him.

Truenow is bought and paid for by Tallahassee special interests.

“A recent email to lobbyists from one such consultant 'appears to make meetings with the lawmakers conditional upon sending money.’”5

“Truenow appeared on the list of legislators the consultant was arranging meetings and contributions for.”6

“The joint sales pitch listed all of their political committees, which are special interest cash cows exempt from the $1,000 limit on contributions to lawmakers’ campaigns. Political committees can take money in unlimited amounts.”7

Truenow voted for an online sales tax to fund increased unemployment benefits.

“This bill will create the single largest tax increase in Florida history by charging Florida consumers $1,100,000,000+ billion each year and that number will go up each year.”8

“If this passes, you will be taxed each and every time you make an internet purchase from an out-of-state business. And this bill will cause huge government growth because of the endless stream of new tax money that will be taken from Florida citizens.”9

Keith Truenow’s (Trew-now) businesses have a track record of unpaid bills and lawsuits.10

Truenow pushed legislation to benefit his own business.

In 2022, Truenow introduced a bill to abolish the Lake County Water Authority, a move which triggered public outcry and was “not backed publicly by any official, citizen or group.”11

The reason being, Truenow “has had contentious dealings with the authority” “over its concern for pollution flowing from ditches at Truenow’s large, turf-grass growing operation.”12

“Asked recently who also supports his bill, Truenow, in his second year as a legislator, said he didn’t ‘know of any one person in general. The premise behind the bill is all about efficiency in government.’"13

Truenow Took Hundreds of Thousands to Help Himself.

In 2020 and 2021, Truenow took out a Paycheck Protection Program Loan that amounted to a grand total of $840,000 just to help himself.14

Truenow pushed legislation that will overcrowd our neighborhoods.

Truenow was involved in passing the Live Local Act, which allows developers to come into Florida to build subsidized housing without any local hearing. The bill also bypasses the local government restriction on density research, which made our infrastructure and public schools worse off and compromised community safety. CENTRAL FLORIDA IS NOT FOR SALE.

Florida Can’t Trust Corrupt Truenow.
